Antony Zymelka is a very well known cable focused professional who has now amassed over 45 years of experience in the Subsea Cable industry. He has been involved in approximately 200+ Subsea Cable projects and approaching 200,000km of Cable installed worldwide.

Antony was qualified by Pirelli (now Prysmian) in the Design of Super Tension Power Cable Accessories and the Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Fault Location and analysis of SCFF, MIND and Elastomeric (XLPE, EPR etc) Super Tension AC and DC Power Cables.

Antony has spent many years Offshore on various Cable Ships, and Onshore in Design, Engineering and Project / Senior Management. His Subsea Cable Installation and Repair Operations, Installation and Repair Engineering and Offshore and Onshore Management experience is therefore extensive. This experience expertise encompasses Power, Telecommunication, Umbilical, Military and Scientific Cables.

Antony is considered by many as being a leading authority on Subsea Cables and sits on the executive committee of the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA). Antony is an active member of CIGRE and sits on the executive committee of CIGRE UK.

Antony has co-authored several very important publications:
- CIGRE TB 883, Installation of Submarine Power Cables.
- ESCA Guideline 06: Proximity of Offshore Renewable Energy Installations and Submarine Cable Infrastructures.
- ESCA Guideline 14: Power Cable Installation.
- ESCA Guideline 15: Power and Renewable Energy Repair
Antony has also been granted several IP patents. These include:
- A de-trenching apparatus for the conforming recovery of Buried Cables or Pipelines.
- A method for manufacturing Graphene based Cables and Wires to utilise the potential Superconducting properties of Graphene.
